I love this story so much. After reading it I saw David and Jonathan's relationship with knew eyes. When I read the biblical account again I looked even deeper. It made me see the kind of friend I aught to be and how much of a friend Christ is to me as Jonathan is to David. It left a longing in my heart to be loyal to Christ as Jonathan was to David, no matter what.

Maybe it's because Jonathan has always been one of my heroes or maybe it's just because he was such an amazing person, but I found this book fantastic. It's beautifully written and does justice to Jonathan's story. I don't think a book has ever really made me cry, but the end of this book was so beautifully written and so powerful that I just falt out bawled. It was a great story that was beatifully written and has really made me feel a closeness to the character and to God alike. If the author ever reads this, I just want to tell you Ms. Rivers, that I really enjoyed it and I thank you for doing such a wonderful job with one of my favorite heroes from the bible.

Great book! Great way to learn about the different characters of the Bible! Francine Rivers is one of my favorite authors! I have read all her books and wish there were more!

I loved this book... I felt like I was right there with Jonathan sharing his thoughts. I found myself feeling so proud of his faithfulness to and love for God as well as his devotion to his father and to David. What a blessing!
