Amazon.com Review
Bestselling author and reknowned pastor Max Lucado offers to readers this introductory message to his new book Fearless. A Message from Max Lucado
Fear seems to be in the driver’s seat these days. People are troubled and anxious. Finances are tumbling, rockets are launching, and seemingly solid institutions are teetering. It's tough for folks to know where to turn.
Two years ago I began writing a new book entitled Fearless. Little did I know then what we'd be facing now, but God did. The book examines Jesus' statements about fear and encourages us to take heart in difficult times.
The antidote to the fear epidemic? Trust. If we trust God more, we can fear less. What a comforting promise.
-Max Lucado A Message from Thomas Nelson Publishers For the past few years we have seen a rejuvenated Max Lucado. Since taking a different step in his role at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, TX Max has devoted more of his time to writing and preaching, thus he is more in his "sweet spot." Fearless is a wonderful result of that by addressing the issue of Fear in our world, our community, and our personal lives. This year, he hosted a town hall on fear at his church and was able to receive questions from the attendees and readers on Twitter, Facebook, e-mail, and by phone. It was encouraging to see Max help them realize that that they are not alone and can fight fear with the help of God, their family, friends, and at church. With the growth of social media, our team has had the ability to dialogue with Max Lucado readers on a whole new level. It has been encouraging to hear their stories of overcoming fear whether it may be facing financial ruin, fighting a difficult relationship, going into a serious surgery, figuring out how to be calm and protecting their children, etc. It has helped our team recognize more than ever how important a message like Fearless is to everyday people. People are left inspired by Max Lucado. My hope is that someday you will be able to meet Max Lucado in person. He is as geniune of a person as he is in his books.
In 2010, it is Max's 25th Anniversary in publishing and he will working toward the goal of sponsoring 25,000 children through World Vision. His book "Outlive Your Life" will help capture the spirit of service that we as Christians must embrace just as the early church did in the book of Acts. We hope you will also be inspired by these words. Thank you Amazon and readers for your support of Max through the years.

| Customer Reviews: Life without FEAR September 2, 2010 Rissa (Nashville TN) What is the one thing you fear the most? Where you will live? How long your Job will hold out? What you'll have for food in the next meal? Are these your most common fears? Or perhaps you have a fear of flying. Or Riding horses. Or Riding a boat. Fears that make it difficult to live a basic every day life... but what if I told you that you had no reason to fear?
Max Lucado's book Fearless touches just on that. What if I told you it was possible to live life without Fear? What if I told you it was possible to life FEARLESSLY...
I admit. The biggest Fear I had before my husband died was being alone. Then James died. But then I realized that my fear was just what it was. A FEAR. Since James died friends & family who love & support me have surrounded me. I've learned more of what the meaning of trust is.
Max's book Fearless touches on this. Jesus taught basically that we shouldn't fear. It's the one thing he teaches the most. He constantly was telling his disciples & his followers by speaking about not being afraid more than 21 times in the bible. If Jesus spoke about it that much then he must have been pretty serious about it.
Max's book Fearless touches on the gospels in which Jesus teaches his disciples about fear & about prayer. Even Jesus was afraid before he got nailed on the cross. But what did he do. He prayed.
One of my favorite parts about Fearless is the 8 worry stoppers that Max lists in his book.
1.) Pray First
2.) Slow Down. Take it to Jesus & State it Clearly
3.) Act on it. Become a worry-slapper
4.) Compile a worry list. & Review them.
5.) Evaluate your worry categories
6.) Focus on daily. I LOVE THIS PART. GOD meets daily needs daily. So true.
7.) Unleash a worry army by sharing your fears with a few loved ones & have them pray with & for you
8.) Let GOD be enough. After all he is your heavenly father.
So is that you today? Do you have a boatload of fears that are keeping you back from living the life GOD intended you to live? If that's you? Try the 8 worry stoppers. Better yet. Go to a bookstore near you & buy & read Fearless for yourself...
Lets all put that fire of Fear out & live the life GOD intended us to.

Can You live without fear August 30, 2010 Shanika Can You Live Your Life Without Fear?
Fearless By Max Lucado came at the right time in my life. I have been dealing with a lot of issues in my life. Reading that statement in his book was a awaken moment for me. This book hits every point of your life that you may fear. Its talking about layoffs at work, slowdowns in the economy, and flare-ups in the Middle East. Fearless approaches from the Christian point of view and you faith.
Easy read but thought provoking August 25, 2010 M. Rogers (Highland City, Fl USA) This book was easy to read but extremely thought provoking. It made me think on more than one occassion. Lucado does a great job of showing the reader that it is the enemy that wants you to live in fear not God. Great book!
Book was used for church family camp theme August 25, 2010 K. T. Young (Wisconsin USA) Lucado does it again! This book does a wonderful job of blending two things--1. challenges to the reader to grow into a fearless life and 2. offers encouragement along the way. The reader is encouraged to hope for a life without fear, except for the right kind (meaning respect and leaning and fear of our amazing LORD).
