Customer Reviews: The power of prayerSeptember 5, 2010 Nilda J. Desimone(New York) I have to agree with some of the readers that the section about Heaven is very short but very beautiful as well. However, I think that this book is more about the power of prayer. He was brought back from the dead because of prayers and made it through a very difficult and painful recovery because of prayers. It is definitely a story about loving and caring people who had the wonderful gift of faith in God and prayed incessantly until their prayer was answered.
worth consideringSeptember 4, 2010 Alfred E. Green 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In a world where most wars are rooted in religion, this story is worth considering. It takes us beyond the experience of our five senses and sways us toward infinite possibilities.
A one day read! A true page turner!September 1, 2010 Michael Joshua(Twin Cities, MN) Although I was reading four other books when I picked this one up - I finished it in one day. It was recommended to me by my mother and she was right on about the impact this book would have on me.
What an amazing story! If you have ever wondered what Heaven will be like - feel like - look like - sound like - this is the book you want to read.
A man with a tremendous testimony, brought back from death 90 minutes after EMTs declared him dead - God sent him back to us with a message unlike any other I have ever read.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough - it is a quick read that will leave you thinking about the story for a long time after you have finished the book.
I plan to go hear him speak when he is in my area.
What a blessing - Thanks, mom!
90 Minutes in Heaven: A True Story of Death & Life
Too long, but not long enough.August 24, 2010 kj(Orlando, Florida, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A friend lent me her copy of "90 Minutes in Heaven" when I was on my way to a funeral. The author's retelling of his near-death-experiences and his memories of the ninety minutes he was thought to be dead were wonderful for me to read at that point in time. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you look at things, the author came back to life. The book is more about the author's excruciating recovery and his ministry to others in similar situations than it is about his remembrances of heaven. It was a long recovery. The eighty-five or so pages reflected this well ... long. The title is catchy, but not an accurate reflection of the book's contents, but I doubt I'd have read a book titled "A Slow and Painful Recovery".
Excellent readAugust 21, 2010 C. Couch(Ely, NV USA) What a experience this gentleman went through but to see the glory of God through all this and a glimpse of heaven gives me solid faith in Jesus and his promise to us who believe in Him. I hope that this book is read by every person so they can see how much love God has for us.
