Product Description Theresa Elaine Hopson, 46, owner of Miss Thang's Holy Ghost Corner and Church Women's Boutique is puzzled. She can't, for the life of her, figure out why even Baby Doll Henderson, despite her false teeth and her navy-blue-socks-with-yellow-jelly-sandals-wearing self, can find a man and she, Theresa, can't.
Theresa's been looking all of her life, and it seems like the only thing she finds are things that need to say lost. Like, for example, her on and off "friend" and sometime escort, the sneaky businessman, Reverend Parvell Sikes.
So, when church mother Queen-Esther Green reacquaints Theresa with the older woman's backslidden player nephew, Lamont Green, it seems like the same old story.
But this time, Theresa decides to listen to God and what she hears soon brings a smile to her face with the realization that the Holy Ghost has been in her love corner all along.

(4.5 Stars) A Crazy Yet Funny Book! September 23, 2008 Urban-Reviews.com (Urban-Reviews.com) Entrepreneur Theresa Hopson has a successful bookstore called Holy Ghost Corner. She has made a name for herself with the Saved Hoochie Mama lingerie. Even though she has a very well off business, she has no real prospects for a husband. And according to Theresa, her biological clock is about to stop since she's 47-years-old. The men that she's gone out with do not meet up to her expectations. Even her current on/off relationship with Reverend Parvell Sikes is not a match made in heaven. Now there's Lamont Green, who's neither the holier than thou type nor is he into being celibate before marriage. In fact, the more women, the merrier in his eyes. Being divorced and a single parent to his son, Lamont feels he has a lot of experience with being married, but he's not the marrying type now. His Aunt Queen Ester wants him to put God first and believes that will lead him to his soulmate. Once Lamont starts to go out with Theresa, he struggles to fight off the feelings that he's starting to feel for her. Michele Andrea Bowen has written a crazy yet funny book. Bowen hit the nail on the head when it comes to life in the black church. I have to admit that this was a very enjoyable book. There are even times where you will literally be laughing out loud. Even though the storyline was a bit predictable, I did enjoy the book. On the sunny side of things, there were a few funny characters in the book that made it a good read. Holy Ghost Corner September 23, 2008 Pretty (East Orange, NJ) This author wrote Second Sunday and Church Folk and they were very enjoyable, that's why I purchased this book. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 6.
Great faith filled book August 19, 2008 Kathryn C. Mullins (Heaven on Earth, md) Although this book starts off slow it is worth it. The book touched on many issues that plague African American churches and communities with a comical twist on it. I would definitely suggest this book, especially for the single faith filled woman. God bless.
I won't give up on Michele A Bowen January 26, 2008 S. Woodward (Cincinnati, Ohio United States) I like many others was happy to find another book by Michele Bowen. I thought this was too slow to keep up with the storyline. I struggled to finish it. to everyone who read this before any of Ms. bowen other books. Please try them. I look foward to another release.
